With less than a week until the 2024 NFL Draft begins, it is currently widely believed that the Chicago Bears, Washington Commanders, and New England Patriots will select quarterbacks with the first three picks.

Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels are the three players who are anticipated to be selected with the first three picks; however, there is disagreement over the Commanders’ choice for the second overall pick.

The Bears’ best option at No. 1 overall is Williams; however, it’s unclear who the Commanders will select at No. 2, as Maye or Daniels may be selected.

With so much trade talk and uncertainty concerning Maye and Daniels, there’s no telling what may happen with the Commanders’ pick, but Mike Greenberg of ESPN believes that pick won’t be the reigning Heisman Trophy winner out of LSU, via ESPN Radio.

When it comes down to it, Greenberg added, “I would bet that he is not going to be the second pick.”

Whatever the Commanders select, whether it be Maye or Daniels, the Patriots will almost definitely select the other player. It will be intriguing to watch which way Washington goes when the club is on the clock next Thursday.

Both prospects have the potential to be franchise players and game-changers for the NFL team they play for, so it doesn’t seem like the Commanders can go wrong with either one at this time.
