Talks About His Future After Requesting a Trade from the Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati — After the Cincinnati Bengals placed the franchise tag on Tee Higgins last month, Higgins requested a trade.
Higgins understands he’ll probably have to spend this season in Cincinnati despite his request.”We’ll see. With the franchise tag, Higgins’ salary is expected to be $21.7 million this season. Next summer, he is expected to become a free agent.
In the 2020 NFL Draft, the Bengals selected Higgins with the 33rd overall pick in the second round. He was instrumental in Cincinnati’s two AFC North championships and one AFC Championship. In 2021 and 2022, he assisted them in winning back-to-back AFC Championship Games.
