According to Mark Douglas of the i, Miguel Almiron is expected to leave Newcastle United this summer as the club prepares for a busy transfer window.
He reports that the Paraguayan turned down a January move to Saudi Arabia after receiving substantial attention from Al-Shabab, but that exit option is anticipated to reopen, with player trade crucial in our effort to work under PSR and FFP guidelines.

Regarding incomings, Douglas adds that club scouts have been keeping an eye on PSV Eindhoven midfielder Joey Veerman. The 25-year-old Dutch international serves as a creative number six and has 14 assists this season.

Tosin Adarabioyo of Fulham and Lloyd Kelly of Bournemouth are also named as Premier League centre-backs on our radar. The out-of-contract duo will be available as free agents at the end of the season, but their pay demands may complicate matters due to a lack of transfer fees.

Following Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles’ long-term ACL injuries, it is believed that recruiting a centre defender is now one of our ‘top priority’ this summer. That, combined with our current struggle with PSR/FFP, makes both Tosin and Kelly appealing alternatives, given the two are potential bargains with Premier League experience.

They are receiving plenty of interest from abroad, but Howe is hopeful about his connection with Kelly, whom he brought to Bournemouth five years ago.
