Brenden Aaronson has revealed he would like to make the permanent move to Union Berlin this summer following his loan spell away from Leeds United.

The USA international explained there wasn’t too much he could say about his future, but shared his admiration for his loan club and that remaining in Germany would be an option.

He did, however, confirm he had been watching Leeds this season and told them to keep pushing towards promotion after what has been a “fantastic” year.

Speaking to Get Football News Germany [7 April], Aaron shared: “I can see myself remaining here. The club is amazing.

“It’s not up to me at the end of the day but I have so much respect for Union, the way it has been built, the staff, it’s an amazing family club and they’ve done an amazing job.

“I’ve been paying close attention to Leeds, I know a lot of the guys, I get on with a lot of them, they are good guys. I’ve been paying attention because they’ve been having a fantastic season so it’s been great to watch.

“They just need to keep pushing because they’ve got good things coming their way at the end of the season.”

Brenden Aaronson shares Leeds United transfer news

With the summer quickly approaching, the destination of several Leeds loanees has become a hot topic, with the likes of Max Wober, Rasmus Kristensen and Diego Llorente all the focus of plenty of exit rumours already.

Reports from Italy claimed that, while it looks likely that Llorente will make the permanent switch to Roma at the end of the season in a deal thanks to the £4.2million option to buy in his deal, Kristensen is more likely to return to Elland Road.
