Crystal Palace are reportedly hoping to sign Arnaut Danjuma this summer following his flopshow at Tottenham.
A report from Daily Mail claims that Crystal Palace are keen on signing Arnaut Danjuma. The 26-year-old winger was on loan at Tottenham this past season, and he was quite disappointing for the North London club.
Danjuma managed to score just twice during his time at Tottenham, and he barely played in the Premier League. The Dutchman had just 163 minutes of action in the Premier League, and it is clear that he was a flop for Tottenham.
The 26-year-old winger will be hoping to get his career back on track with regular football next season. But it remains to be seen whether Crystal Palace are prepared to provide him with that opportunity. Recent reports have also linked him with Aston Villa.
Danjuma is expected to return to his parent club upon the expiry of his loan deal, and he has a contract with Villarreal until the summer of 2026. The Spanish giants will be hoping to get rid of him permanently this summer after he fell out with his teammates before leaving on loan for Tottenham.
The winger has shown his quality in the past with the Spanish outfit and in England. There is no doubt that he has the ability to be an important player for Crystal Palace. The Eagles will likely part ways with Wilfried Zaha, who could leave the club this summer.
The talented winger will be a free agent at the end of this month, and he has not renewed his contract with Crystal Palace yet. The Eagles will have to replace him adequately, and Danjuma could be a useful acquisition. Zaha has been an indispensable asset for Crystal Palace. So they will certainly miss his qualities in the final third.
The Dutch winger is still only 26, and he has plenty of time to improve and get back to his best in the coming months. If he can hit the ground running at Crystal Palace, he could be a key asset for the London club. Furthermore, the 26-year-old is versatile enough to play anywhere across the front three.
