Superstar Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs has taken notice of one of the Washington Commanders’ smart free agency moves. Following the Commanders’ agreement to sign offensive guard Nick Allegretti, a former Chief, Kelce released a statement.
“On his New Heights podcast, Kelce lamented the loss of one of his all-time favorite f****** teammates for the Chiefs.” “The player who plays through a torn UCL while yelling at the sidelines to get an elbow brace during the Super Bowl.” In DC, Nick Allegretti is anticipated to sign.
He’s going to reunite with Andrew Wylie, who is one of my all-time favorite teammates. Man, I adore those guys. I am so happy for Nicky. One of the most responsible individuals on and off the field, and such an amazing dude in the building. If you’re not joining us the following year, Nicky, it was a great farewell hoorah. My love and best wishes are with you, brother.
Wylie played offensive tackle in Kansas City from 2018 until he joined Washington for the 2023 season. Now, Allegretti will be reuniting with him after spending one season apart.
Allegreti is coming off winning a Super Bowl, and considering that he should already have chemistry on the Commanders’ offensive line with Wylie, this unit could be significantly better next season. Washington has been praised for its free-agent signings. Although offensive linemen are often unsung heroes, Allegretti may be one of the most impactful signings since he’ll protect whoever the team chooses to draft at No. 2 overall.
