Tennessee got big news on the offensive line front on Tuesday morning. Offensive lineman Javontez Spraggins will return to the team for the 2024 season, a big boost for offensive line coach Glen Elarbee.

This news comes just days after LSU offensive tackle Lance Heard announced his transfer to the University of Tennessee. Tennessee now has a stable of quality offensive linemen at the disposal of redshirt freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava. Spraggins officially took to social media on Thursday afternoon to announce his return, confirming these reports.

The offseason is underway for Tennessee football. The Vols have concluded the season and are now focusing on roster construction for the 2023 season.

Volunteer Country has fans covered with all the latest portal entries and NFL Draft declarations. The portal window is from December 4 until January 2. If players don’t transfer within that window, they must wait until May following spring practice to enter the transfer portal.
