Just In: Former Baltimore five-star QB signs with Tennessee Volunteers

Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy defensive back Edrees Farooq not only signed last month with Tennessee but was able to work out with the Vols for Bowl prep.

Farooq is one of the nation’s top safety prospects and checks in as a high end three-star with an 88 Rating. He’s working out in Orlando this week as part of the Under Armour All-America Game.

Jack Lange is one of the latest additions to Notre Dame’s 2025 O-Line offer board.

He’s also arguably the most impressive tackle on that list.

Out of Missouri, the towering four-star visited Notre Dame during one of its final home games of the season. And just over two weeks later, the Irish extended an offer (Nov. 15).

Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Washington represent Lange’s offer list. And many of those offers were extended over the last few months.

He’s risen the ranks nationally later than some, but it’s certainly not due to a lack of talent. Don’t be surprised if Lange’s scholarship options expand a great deal.

To learn more about Lange, his background, why he visited Notre Dame, his takeaways from that trip, and more, Irish Illustrated connected with the Eureka High School tackle.

Sinclair: Can you tell me a bit about your background, your connection to football, whether there are or have been any other notable athletes in your family?

Lange: Yeah, I lived in St. Louis my whole life. I started playing football when I was in fourth grade. So, about seven-ish years ago, something like that. I fell in love with the sport. I’ve been playing it non-stop.

My dad was my little league coach back in the day. He was probably the main driving force for football. He never went anywhere in college, but he had a couple lower D-III offers, but he played (at St. Louis Christian Brothers College) as a lineman. My grandpa played football at Lindbergh.

I think football is just something that I’ve personally enjoyed…I’m grateful for everything that I have now. Yeah, that’s just a little bit about where I come from.
