The playoffs are practically unattainable, despite the Las Vegas Raiders’ commanding 63-21 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15. Although Davante Adams, a talented wide receiver, joined the team with the intention of winning, Las Vegas is expected to miss the playoffs in both of his first two seasons.

Adams, who turns 31 at the beginning of the upcoming season, probably won’t be a top-tier wide receiver for much longer. The two parties may look into a trade to a rival team if he is unhappy with the Raiders’ current course. Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Reports proposed a trade that would send Adams to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a first-round pick in 2024.

In his essay on December 13, Ballentine stated, “It’s not hard to see Adams wanting to go to a team that could contend right away if the Raiders continue to be bogged down on offense down the stretch.”

The Jets remain a sensible destination. In New York City, he might cross paths with Aaron Rodgers again. But the Ravens ought to be considering it as well.

With wide outs Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers, the Ravens are the top-seeded team in the AFC this season. They would have one of the best wide receiver groups in the NFL with Adams added.

Why Would Las Vegas Raiders Trade Davante Adams?

It seems logical that Davante Adams would be eager to move on. This group will need another year or two to establish itself as a serious contender, even if the Raiders make the correct coaching and general manager appointments this winter. There are also a lot of unanswered questions at quarterback.

Why it would make sense for Las Vegas to attempt and receive something in exchange for Adams while he is still valuable was explained by Alex Ballentine.”It would be a chance for the Raiders to escape under Adams’ enormous contract while adding another important piece to the rebuilding puzzle,” Ballentine said. “The next general manager will have the chance to select a different player he loves in the draft instead of having to make plans around a player he didn’t

When the Raiders acquired Adams from the Green Bay Packers in 2022, they forfeited a first- and second-round pick. It’s hardly the worst return to receive a first-round pick in exchange for him.

Davante Adams May Not Want to Leave

It makes sense that Davante Adams would transfer to a contender. His playing career is coming to an end, and it’s likely that he doesn’t want to waste it on a losing squad. Adams, though, has made it clear time and time again that he wants to stay and contribute to the creation of a winner.

Adams enjoys playing for the coach since he has supported Antonio Pierce, the temporary head coach, for the permanent position. Adams may want to stay if the Raiders offer him the position moving forward. It makes far more sense to maintain Adams if Las Vegas manages to fix the quarterback problem going forward. An offense cannot function well without an outstanding wide receiver. The Raiders might only need a quarterback to qualify for the playoffs.
