Everton are on the verge of signing winger Arnaut Danjuma with a loan bid for the Villarreal winger now accepted.

Arnaut Danjuma is finally on the verge of signing for Everton, months after Tottenham Hotspur hijacked the Toffees.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that Everton have now had a bid accepted for the winger.

The plan is for Danjuma to leave Villarreal on loan and join up with Everton for the 2023-24 season.

Romano claims that Danjuma is confident that a move to Everton is the best decision for his career now.

It’s suggested that Everton kept in contact with Danjuma even after having their January move for him hijacked.

The Toffees are finally set to land their man and give a timely boost to Sean Dyche’s attacking options.

Arnaut Danjuma failed to make Tottenham Hotspur impact

Everton moved to sign Danjuma in January and the deal looked all set to go through.

Danjuma is understood to have undergone a medical with Everton in January before it all fell apart.

Everton sacked Frank Lampard and that gave Tottenham a window of opportunity to swoop in.

Lauded by Owen Hargreaves as an ‘explosive’ winger, Danjuma picked a move to Spurs instead, joining them on loan for the rest of the season.

Danjuma probably thought that joining a Champions League club who were challenging for the top four would be a little better than battling relegation with Everton.

However, Danjuma’s move to Spurs never really took off, even after a debut goal against Preston North End.Arnaut Danjuma: Tottenham sign Villarreal forward on loan days after he nearly joined Everton | Transfer Centre News | Sky Sports

The Dutchman made just one Premier League start for Spurs and Tottenham subsequently snubbed the chance to sign him permanently.

Now finally heading to Everton, Danjuma will be hoping to see his Premier League career kickstart at Goodison Park.
