leeds United have approached PSG with an enquiry about midfielder Edouard Michut, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported the Whites’ interest in the 20-year-old Frenchman, who spent last season on loan at Championship rivals Sunderland, on page 70 of their print edition on 20 July.
French news outlet L’Équipe said on 31 May that the Black Cats had an option to sign Michut for £2.5million, but that the midfielder – described by Sports Illustrated as “magic” – decided against the move despite a “convincing season” in the North East.

There is a huge upside for Leeds in bringing in the talented young midfielder, who already has invaluable Championship experience under his belt after playing 28 games for Sunderland last season.
He only scored one goal during that loan spell, but Michut was highly thought of during his time at the Stadium of Light, where he featured more predominantly in the side’s push for the playoffs towards the end of the season.
He was offered his first professional contract with PSG in 2020 to ward off interest from other major European clubs, with Manchester City and Barcelona reportedly previously tracking him
The Whites will soon have money in the bank if the proposed deal for Willy Gnonto to join Everton goes through and the club have got several other big-name players off the books to free up wages.
If Leeds can secure a deal for £2.5million for Michut, that would mark good business for a player that knows what the Championship is about and has huge scope to improve in the future.
