When Man United returns to Premier League action on Saturday against Newcastle United, it will be their third straight challenging away trip.

When Newcastle United plays Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday, Eddie Howe won’t be inviting any of the team’s absentees back.

Due to fitness concerns, the Magpies have had a terrible season; Joe Willock and Sean Longstaff are the most recent players to miss games. Both missed Tuesday’s 1-1 Champions League draw against Paris Saint-Germain, adding their names to an already lengthy list of missing players.

Sven Botman and Harvey Barnes have both been sidelined for a while, and Callum Wilson suffered a hamstring strain two weeks ago.longlaff and Willock have improved prognoses, but Howe does not anticipate seeing the two on the field on Saturday when they play United.

Howe told ChronicleLive on Friday, “I thought you were going to ask me if Sean [Longstaff] would be back for this weekend, which would be too soon.” “We hope to get some players back in the not-too-distant future, but certainly there doesn’t seem that there is anyone that is right around the corner.”

“Hopefully, Willock won’t be too horrible. We believed that a complete recurrence might occur, which would have taken six to eight weeks.

“We hope it won’t be too long, but the issue we have is that, given the number of games we have at this point, two to three weeks seem like a lifetime. Thus, even if this could be good news, it is still quite annoying.”

Newcastle will also be without injured players Jacob Murphy, Dan Burn, Elliot Anderson, Matt Targett, and Javier Manquillo on Saturday, it has been confirmed. Due to his 10-month ban for violating Italian FA betting regulations, Sando Tonali is also not available.
