WXIX (Cincinnati) – According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Cincinnati Bengals have turned over hours of footage to the NFL as the league investigates whether Joe Burrow was healthy prior to the Baltimore Ravens game on Thursday Night Football. The NFL announced the probe the day after Burrow’s injury.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the league wants to know why Burrow wasn’t on the injury report despite photographs showing him with a form of wrap on his wrist as the team landed in Baltimore on Nov. 17.
Rapoport issued an update on Sunday, adding that according to individuals who saw the tape, Burrow was healthy before the game.
“According to those who have seen the footage, Burrow threw the ball normally during practice, without a brace and took all of his normal reps,” according to Rapoport.
According to the information provided to the NFL, Burrow did not receive treatment prior to practice and did not miss any time in preparation for the game versus the Ravens, Rapoport reported, citing sources.
Burrow’s wrist injury occurred during the second quarter of the game against the Ravens, according to head coach Zac Taylor.
Burrow stated that he was wearing a compression sleeve going off the team plane on Nov. 17, the day after the Ravens game, and that it had nothing to do with a past injury.
