Burrow completed 11 of 17 throws for a total of 101 yards. He also completed a four-yard touchdown pass to Joe Mixon before leaving the game due to soreness in his throwing hand.
‘I landed on my wrist a little bit the play before it happened, and the following play, the touchdown pass, I just felt a pop in the middle of the throw,’ Burrow explained. ‘I attempted to accomplish it but was unable to complete it. Obviously, I got the news today, so it’s not good.’
Soon after the game, the NFL began looking into the Bengals for a possible injury report compliance issue. The probe was prompted by many social media posts in which Burrow was seen wearing a wrap on his injured wrist.
