Over the last few seasons, the Green Bay Packers have moved on from a few quarterbacks. Of course, Aaron Rodgers is by far the most noteworthy, having been dealt by the Packers to the Jets this offseason.

However, the Packers have moved on from a few other quarterbacks in recent seasons, and one of them is now getting his chance to start.

Jordan Sigler of Wisconsin Sports Heroics first reported it to us:

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Jets will start Boyle against the Miami Dolphins.

The Jets will depend to Boyle to keep their playoff hopes alive until Aaron Rodgers returns. The Jets are hoping Rodgers will be able to play against the Washington Commanders on December 24th.

But, in order for Rodgers to have a chance, Boyle will need to perform better than he did against the Bills over the next month.

Wilson was benched by Jets head coach Robert Saleh following a poor performance against the Bills. Wilson was replaced by former Packers quarterback Tim Boyle. Boyle, unfortunately, did not fare much better than Wilson. Boyle was 7/14 for 33 yards with one interception.

Fans of the Green Bay Packers react to Boyle’s signing with the New York Jets.

Boyle played for the Packers for two seasons (2019-2020). He appeared in 11 games throughout the course of the two seasons. While he never made a huge impact in Green Bay, fans reacted positively when they saw Boyle receive his chance:
