Sad News on top bad news: Eagles injury report ahead of the

The Eagles returned to practice on Friday and appear to be in good shape as they prepare to face the Chiefs in a Super Bowl rematch on Monday night.

Tight end Dallas Goedert, who has a fractured forearm, was the only player on the 53-man roster who did not practice on Friday. Even the fact that the Eagles haven’t placed Goedert on injured reserve yet is reassuring.

The Eagles will surely not be without Goedert this week or for long. And it appears that Evans will not be available this week after being limited the first two days of practice. Evans has been on injured reserve for the past four weeks and had his practice window activated earlier this week.

However, against the Chiefs on Monday night, the Eagles should have Jurgens, Roby, and Calcaterra.

This will be Jurgens’ first game back following a five-game absence due to a foot ailment. He’ll be back in the starting lineup at right guard, alongside Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson. The Eagles got by with Sua Opeta and Tyler Steen without Jurgens, but having him back will be a big help.

It should also help to have Roby back after missing the last three games with a shoulder injury. He was never placed on injured reserve because the team hoped he’d be able to play in this game. This season, the Eagles have rotated a number of nickel cornerbacks, so we’ll have to see what the plan is on Monday night. The Eagles may just put Roby back in there full-time, or we could see a rotation of Roby, Sydney Brown, Eli Ricks, and possibly even James Bradberry.

Finally, Calcaterra’s comeback from concussion comes at an advantageous time given Goedert’s ailment. On Monday night, Jack Stoll will be the Eagles’ starting tight end, although Calcaterra and

“We have a practice today,” stated Mike McDaniel on Friday. “We’re ready to do it if everything goes well, and we’re very optimistic about it.” It’s been great so far. That gives me hope.”

Achane was limited on Wednesday and Thursday, but he appeared healthy to reporters.
