In 2021 and 2022, the offensive line of Michigan football won the Joe Moore Award back-to-back. The Wolverines are the first squad in history to take home the trophy twice in a row

 

Is Michigan going to make it to three?

The 12 semifinalists for the Joe More Award were announced on Tuesday, and the Wolverines offensive line is the only Big Ten team vying for the trophy.

Florida State, Georgia, Kansas State, LSU, Michigan, Missouri, Notre Dame, Oregon, Oregon State, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington are the 12 semifinalist teams.

Michigan is beginning to find its footing on the ground, even though the Wolv nerines’ rushing attack may not be as strong as it was the previous two years. The Wolverines just finished outlasting a formidable Penn State run defense for 227 yards on the ground. In the second half, Michigan outran the Nittany Lions 32 times in a row.

This season, running back Blake Corum has scored eighteen touchdowns behind the formidable Wolverines offensive line. In terms of rushing touchdowns, Corum leads the nation with 15, with 15 being the next closest.

The committee’s statement is: “They have shown consistency throughout the entire season. They move in unison, seeing it so clearly. Excellent technique, almost never on the ground. They pick up and sort through trash as well as anyone in the nation, and they work their combos with ease. unquestionably in the running to win the entire damn thing once more. It’s remarkable how steady their run has been.
