This week, Iowa’s offensive suffered another huge setback.Tight end Erick All, a transfer from Michigan, will miss the rest of the season due to a ruptured ACL suffered in the first quarter of Saturday’s 15-6 win over Wisconsin, according to head coach Kirk Ferentz.

“It’s really unfortunate, and he’s done a great job,” Ferentz remarked on Tuesday. “Such a positive, hardworking guy.

Cade McNamara, a former Michigan quarterback, transferred to Iowa this offseason in the hopes of providing the Hawkeyes’ offense a much-needed boost.

McNamara also tore his ACL in Week 5 and will miss the rest of the season. Even with him at the helm, Iowa’s attack lacked explosiveness.

Before exiting the Wolverines’ Sept. 30 win over Michigan State, the former four-star recruit completed only 46 of 90 throws for 505 yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions.

Deacon Hill has taken over at quarterback for McNamara and has thrown for 147 yards in the two games since, both triumphs for the 6-1 Hawkeyes, who lead the Big Ten West with a 3-1 record despite ranking last in FBS in total offense.

Luke Lachey, Iowa’s second-leading receiver this season, with 131 receiving yards but hasn’t played since Week 3 due to injury. This season, no Hawkeye wideout has more than 100 receiving yards.

This season, the team will rely on their defense to win the West and get to the Big Ten championship game.
