Joachim Andersen is reportedly willing to make the move to Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur, but Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United remain a threat.

According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are interested in signing Joachim Andersen from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window.

The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Palace could demand as much as £50 million for Andersen.

The 27-year-old Denmark international central defender himself is open to a move to Tottenham this summer, according to the report.

The Sun have added that Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou personally wants Andersen, and that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy likes the defender as well and have been following him since his time on loan at Fulham from Lyon.

The report has claimed tyhat Newcastle “also admire Andersen” and want to sign the former Lyon star, who is a “highly-rated defender”, according to Palace chairman Steve Parish on the club’s official website.

Tottenham Hotspur should bid for Newcastle United target Joachim Andersen soon

In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur should make a bid for Joachim Andersen now and try to sign the Crystal Palace defender ahead of Newcastle United.

If the player wants to move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Levy and Postecoglou both want him at the club, then the North London outfit should start negotiations with Palace.

What is the point of delaying?

Pre-season training has already started.

It would make sense for Tottenham to get a deal done for Andersen as soon as possible so that he can start working with Postecoglou.Arsenal transfer news: Sampdoria's Joachim Andersen confirms transfer talks amid Tottenham and Lyon links | Goal.com Nigeria

The Dane made 32 appearances in the Premier League for Palace last season.

Andersen scored one goal in those matches.

The defender is at the top of his game at the moment and would be able to make an immediate impact at Tottenham or Newcastle.
