Daniel Farke has told his press conference on Friday – as per the club’s YouTube – that he is excited to have Leeds United star Stuart Dallas available for selection as the versatile ace edges closer to a return.

Dallas, 32, has of course been sidelined since April 2022 having broken his leg against Manchester City. He has now been 18 months on the sidelines, but is partaking in senior training, at least now and then.

The versatile ace is obviously, at his best, a massive improvement for this Leeds side. Whether or not he can recover his best form remains to be seen. It might take him a few weeks, or months, to get there.

Speaking about leadership and experience in this Leeds side, Farke said he is excited to be able to bring £1.3m signing Dallas back into the dressing room – adding to what Liam Cooper and Luke Ayling offer.

“I have praised Liam and Luke a lot, although they are not involved every second on the pitch we need them to lead this group, this is what they are doing in a brilliant way. We also have younger players.

“We have a relatively young group, especially the starting line up is very young, so I am looking forward to having Stuart Dallas as a regular back in the dressing room and training because of his experience.”

Just to see Dallas in training here and there is great. But now, Dallas is facing a bit of a race against time. Next week, November is upon us. Dallas is out of contract at Leeds come the end of the 23-24 season.

He needs to get back to full fitness soon and show Farke, and Leeds fans, that he is capable of getting back to his best. Or at least, close to it. The Dallas that scored a brace at Man City is like a new signing.
