Midfielder Ryan Yates will be available for Nottingham Forest’s trip to face Bournemouth on Saturday.

The 25-year-old was forced off at half-time of last weekend’s 2-0 victory over Leicester City, having suffered a blow to the face. But he is in contention to take on the Cherries as the Reds go in search of a third Premier League victory on the spin.

Defender Willy Boly is “not too far away” from recovering from an ankle problem, while Jesse Lingard is close to a comeback from a hamstring issue. Forest head coach Steve Cooper nevertheless has a lengthy injury list to contend with.

Goalkeeper Dean Henderson (thigh) will be sidelined for at least the next month. And Cooper says it is still inconclusive on how long

Taiwo Awoniyi (groin) will be absent for, with the striker expected to be missing for a significant spell.

“It is difficult to give a real time on it,” Cooper said of Awoniyi. “He has been a little bit up and down with it from one day to the next, on the injury settling down and getting into rehab.

“There is nothing I can say about that really. He’s doing everything he can. We’re doing everything. Hopefully we can get a breakthrough soon.

“Ryan Yates will be available (for Saturday). He came off with a bit of a knock to his face, but he’s okay.

“Apart from that, we are as we were before the last game. We’ve not got the greatest injury list at the moment.

“Willy Boly is not far away. It’s a little bit inconclusive with exact times. But he’s working really hard to get back; all of the injured guys are. There’s too many who are injured at the moment, but that’s fine, we’ll get on with it.
