In a powerful statement of loyalty and passion, star forward Bobby Hill has officially committed his future to Collingwood, putting to rest any speculation surrounding his next move. The 24-year-old premiership hero has signed a new multi-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2028 AFL season.

Hill, who played a crucial role in Collingwood’s 2023 premiership campaign — including a best-on-ground performance in the Grand Final — has quickly become a fan favourite at the Holden Centre. His explosive pace, creative flair, and goal sense have made him one of the most exciting players in the game.

Speaking to club media after putting pen to paper, Hill expressed his gratitude and excitement about the future.

“Collingwood has become home for me. The support from the fans, the playing group, and the staff has been incredible,” Hill said. “I’m proud to be part of this club and I’m committed to helping us achieve more success in the years ahead.”

Collingwood Football Club GM of Football, Graham Wright, praised Hill’s growth both on and off the field.

“Bobby has been a fantastic addition to our team — not just as a footballer, but as a person,” Wright said. “His energy, his work ethic, and his commitment to the team culture have been outstanding. Securing his future here is a big win for the club.”

Hill’s re-signing comes amid growing interest from rival clubs, with many viewing him as one of the league’s rising stars. His decision to remain a Magpie is seen as a major show of faith in the club’s direction under senior coach Craig McRae.

Since arriving at Collingwood via a trade from GWS in late 2022, Hill has played 45 games for the club, booting 65 goals and consistently delivering in big moments.

As Collingwood looks to build on its premiership success, Hill’s commitment is a timely boost — and a clear sign that the Magpies remain a destination club for elite talent.
