BirminghamLive brings you the latest Aston Villa news as Unai Emery’s side prepares to host West Ham at Villa Park this weekend.

Unai Emery, the manager of Aston Villa, has had to deal with a number of injury setbacks since the start of the season.

Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia were both ruled out for the majority of the season in August, while Jacob Ramsey and Alex Moreno have also been out with injuries. Moreno and Ramsey are scheduled to return within three weeks and may play before the November international break.

Injuries have also plagued Diego Carlos, Bertrand Traore, Boubacar Kamara, Moussa Diaby, Emi Martinez, Leon Bailey, Lender Dendoncker, and Tim Iroegbunam in the first two months of the season. Here’s the latest injury news ahead of Villa’s match against West Ham on Sunday (4.30pm kick-off)…

Moreno has not played for Villa since suffering a hamstring injury in last season’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield. In September, the left-back returned to the Crystal Palace matchday squad and flew with the Villa squad to face Legia Warsaw, but he was not comfortable enough to play any minutes.

Ramsey has a recurrence of the foot issue that kept him out for 10 weeks this summer and into the start of the season. He returned from injury last month in a loss to Legia Warsaw and came off the bench in victories against Chelsea and Brighton, but he will now miss more time.

Mings sustained a long-term knee injury during the season-opening loss to Newcastle United.
