West Ham has made a bid of £4 million for his player.

West Ham United appears to have made a bid for one of England’s finest emerging stars.

David Moyes has a tremendously strong set of players at West Ham right now, but he certainly wants to add further reinforcements in January.

The Hammers boss could do with signing a young central defender, with Angelo Ogbonna set to turn 36 before the end of this season.

And it appears that West Ham have already made a bid for the 20-year-old center-back…

Football director claims West Ham have made a £4 million approach for his player. Claret and Hugh have spoken to Peterborough Director of Football Barry Fry about the Hammers’ interest in Edwards.

And Fry claimed that he has rejected a £4 million bid from West Ham for the talented young central defender:

I believe Edwards is someone West Ham should pursue, and if we have to pay £8-10 million for him, I believe it is excellent business.

Edwards has averaged 1.6 tackles, 1.2 interceptions, 3.8 clearances, and 1.3 successful aerial duels per game in 12 League One appearances (Who Scored).

The Peterborough defender is also an excellent passer of the ball. He has completed 90.5% of his throws and averages 80.8 passes per game (Who Scored).
He is a strong defender who also plays well when in possession of the ball.

It remains to be seen whether West Ham will make another bid for Edwards, but I believe we should be looking to do so.
