Nottingham Forest defender Harry Toffolo has been charged with 375 alleged breaches of FA betting rules.
It is alleged he breached Football Association rules, which ban players from placing bets or passing on information that could be used for betting, between 22 January 2014 and 18 March 2017.
Toffolo, who played for Norwich, Swindon, Rotherham, Peterborough and Scunthorpe during that period, has one week to respond to the charges.
The 27-year-old joined Nottingham Forest from Huddersfield Town 12 months ago and made 19 Premier League appearances last season as Steve Cooper’s side avoided relegation
Toffolo’s charges come after Brentford and England striker Ivan Toney was banned for eight months after admitting to 232 breaches of FA betting rules.
Toney, who has since been diagnosed with a gambling addition, will not be permitted to play against until January 2024.
‘I am naturally disappointed that I will be unable to play for the next eight months,’ the 27-year-old wrote on social media in May. ‘I now focus on returning to play the game I love next season.’
