The Boston Celtics acknowledged on Thursday that All-Star Jaylen Brown has a broken bone in his face but did not provide a timetable for his recovery on Wednesday after slamming into Jayson Tatum underneath the hoop as they both attempted to grab an offensive rebound.

Tatum looked to elbow Brown on the left side of the head. He fell to the ground and struggled to stand, then went straight to the locker room while rubbing his left cheek and eye.
