Tottenham have confirmed that Ivan Perisic has suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury in his right knee.

The midfielder came off the bench for Tottenham and played a vital role in the club’s comeback against Sheffield United on Saturday, but he will now undergo surgery and likely miss the rest of the season.

The club posted on X that the Croatia international picked up the injury in non-contract training ahead of the club’s game against Arsenal in the north London derby this weekend

He has made six appearances for Tottenham this season, with one showing in the Carabao Cup in the club’s penalty shootout defeat to Fulham, but his season is now likely over

At 34 and out of contract in the summer, it’s possible Perisic has played his last game for the club he joined from Inter Milan last season.
