Borussia Dortmund’s Soumaïla Coulibaly (19) is currently undergoing a medical with newly-promoted Premier League side Burnley, according to Sky Sports
Just two days ago, Burnley reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign French defender Coulibaly on a season-long loan with a €15m mandatory purchase option, based on appearances for the Clarets.
Coulibaly joined Borussia Dortmund from PSG in 2021, signing his first professional contract but has played just 61 minutes across two games for Die Schwarzgelben, one in the Champions League and the other in the Bundesliga. A prominent figure in BVB’s second team, the Frenchman played 25 games, and also played four games in the UEFA Youth League.
The Bundesliga market appears to be one that Vincent Kompany and his recruitment team are targeting. The Premier League club announced the permanent signing of Borussia Mönchengladbach defender Jordan Beyer for €15m following a successful loan spell, while the Clarets have also submitted an offer for Wolfsburg’s Aster Vranckx, who spent last season on loan at Milan, and is a compatriot of Kompany.
