Despite Liverpool’s setback, Pedro Neto was impressed with the 26-year-old Wolves star.

Pedro Neto voiced his disappointment after Wolves’ 3-1 loss to Liverpool yesterday, but praised debutant Jean-Ricner Bellegarde.

Wolves were beaten at Molineux after dominating the Reds in the first half.

Wolves took the lead through Hwang Hee-chan, with Neto providing an assist.

Wolves, on the other hand, struggled throughout the second half.

They invited Liverpool to attack, and Jurgen Klopp’s team was on the verge of scoring three goals.

Andy Robertson’s second goal for the visitors was virtually a gift, as Jose Sa totally botched his kick out.

After the game, Gary O’Neil stated his unhappiness with that goal, and Pedro Neto also expressed his disappointment with the second half.

But the Portuguese did had some kind things to say about Bellegarde, who caught the eye on his debut…

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde praised Pedro Neto as he made his Wolves debut against Liverpool.
Neto was brilliant for Wolves in the first half, outplaying Joe Gomez.

And Bellegarde, who joined Wolves for £13 million from Strasbourg, was also outstanding.

The Frenchman appeared completely at ease and displayed some fantastic touches.

He also grabbed the ball and made several strong runs forward.

After the game, Neto stated of his new partner (Wolves official): “He’s a guy with a really good attitude, really good quality.” He came here to help the team. I believe that all of the players who joined the team during the transfer window can contribute significantly to the team. Let’s keep working and look forward to the next one.”

Bellegarde provided a lot of energy against Liverpool.
Bellegarde was certainly impressive against Liverpool, and he and Neto were two players who did not deserve to lose yesterday.

The 26-year-old appears to be full of energy and does an excellent job carrying and protecting the ball.

If he can maintain these levels in the future, he will quickly become a fan favorite at Molineux. He is effectively the replacement for Matheus Nunes, and on the evidence of his performance against Liverpool, he can quickly make Wolves fans forget about the Portuguese, if that hasn’t already happened.
