Paul Warne reveals fresh Derby County injury blow

Tyreece John-Jules is set to undergo a scan on a thigh problem while Conor Hourihane has also been added to Derby County’s casualty list.

John-Jules was not in the squad for the 1-1 draw against Portsmouth this afternoon as he still awaits his first start since his move from Arsenal.

And to add to Derby’s woes, Conor Hourihane suffered a problem with his hamstring in the first half which forced him off to be replaced by Elliot Embleton.

Asked about Hourihane and John-Jules’ injuries, Warne said: “I don’t honestly know with Conor because I’ve not spoken to him since the game ended.

“But when he came off on the side of the pitch during the game he said he has had one of those nervy tendons in his hamstring before and he’s just run it off.

“He thought he could run it off, but he couldn’t. It could be two or three days or two or three weeks – I don’t honestly know.
