As per today’s version of The People (news image provided below), Erik ten Hag has made the Atalanta striker his No.1 target to reinforce the No.9 position.

The renowned British source claim the Serie A side are demanding a fee of £70million for the 20-year-old center forward.

As per an exclusive story covered by Football Insider, Hojlund has agreed personal terms of a contract with Man Utd.

It is reported that the Danish international has made it clear he wants to complete a move to Old Trafford this summer.Transfer Talk, April 21, 2023: Manchester United lead the race for Atalanta hotshot Rasmus Hojlund | LiveScore

The question is, are United making the right decision to lure the youngster? He is a raw talent and does not have the stats to back up his high market value.

Steve Bates thinks Ten Hag might be making a mistake. The journalist has stated:

“Hojlund scored nine goals for Atalanta in his 1,836 minutes on the pitch with a conversation rate of just 16.7 percent but the 11 clear-cut chances he missed will be alarming for United fans.”

Man Utd need a proven quality finisher to take away the goal scoring burden from Marcus Rashford, who netted 30 goals while mainly playing as a winger last term.

Should they splash £70million on Rasmus Hojlund? I do not think so.
