INJURY NEWS Seven Leeds United players are close to making their recovery from injuries.

This weekend, when several first-team players return from injuries, Leeds United boss Daniel Farke may need to make a selection or two.

The Whites have experienced injury problems during the first month of the 2023–24 campaign, but Farke is likely to receive some relief after the international break in September because players like Mateo Joseph, Dan James, and Ian Poveda are all anticipated to return to first-team selection contention soon.

Sam Byram, Liam Cooper, Patrick Bamford, and Junior Firpo, who have yet to play for United this year, are not far behind them.

Here are the anticipated comeback dates for a large group of Leeds players who have missed recent Championship games.

James, a Wales international, has a chance to make Millwall’s matchday squad this weekend after suffering an adductor strain last month. Prior to the September international break, Wales manager Rob Page defined the problem as a “three-week injury.” As a result, his return is soon approaching.
