AFC Wimbledon had no ‘willingness’ to sell striker amid Barnsley and Peterborough bids

According to Johnnie Jackson, Ali Al-Hamadi’s summer interest was turned down because AFC Wimbledon never expressed a “willingness” to part with the striker.

In the final days of the transfer window, the 21-year-old caught Peterborough’s and Barnsley’s notice.

Since moving to Plough Lane, the former Tranmere and Swansea youth, who earned Wimbledon’s Player of the Year award last season, has scored 10 goals across all competitions.
