Celtic Football Club is happy to announce that Chairman Peter Lawwell has been selected to serve on the board and as vice chairman of the European Club Association for the upcoming four-year cycle. He will also be a part of the joint venture between the ECA and UEFA.
Paul Lawwell stated. “It is a privilege to have been selected to these new roles.
“It is essential that the Club has a voice at the pinnacle of the game, and while we continue to aim to grow and promote European football as a whole, I will also continue to do everything in my power to advocate for both Celtic and Scottish football.
I want to express my gratitude to ECA Chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi and the other board members for providing me this chance.
“I would like to congratulate Peter on his appointments, which have been announced today,” Celtic Chief Executive Michael Nicholson stated.
“Peter will continue to play such a significant and powerful position within the ECA, which is fantastic news for Celtic as the ECA is a tremendously important organization within European football.
“Peter has devoted many hours to the ECA and UEFA on behalf of Celtic and Scottish football for many years. It is wonderful that our voice and interests will continue to be heard at the highest level of European football thanks to these new appointments.
