Carlos Corberan said earlier in the season that bringing in free agents and loanees from the Premier League could be key to West Brom’s summer transfer. It turns out, with former England Under-21 international Hayden – absent from St James’ Park – is perhaps the latest to arrive at The Hawthorns for a nominal fee.
Hayden is primarily a defensive midfielder, but he also feels comfortable playing in the center of the defence – his versatility makes him the ideal signing for Corberan.
The Arsenal academy product featured in the Norwich City Championship 14 times last season and brings a wealth of experience to him.
It would be a very wise signing for the Baggies if they reach an agreement with Newcastle and Hayden that strengthens both the backline and central midfield in one fell swoop.
In other West Brom news, Corberan is also said to be looking for an attacking midfielder before the transfer window closes. Carlos Corberan reminds West Bromwich Albion to stay vigilant despite any summer transfer closures – because you never know what can happen in foreign markets where business is still allowed.
Albion completed their negotiations last Friday having missed the deadline to buy Spaniard Pipa on a season-long loan from Ludogorets, and they have succeeded in attracting interest. to his key players from Kingdom United clubs, who are rushing to close the deal by 11pm. However, clubs on the continent and even beyond have extended the time of player additions.
The Saudi Pro League has made a name for itself around the world this summer by attracting some of Europe’s biggest names to the Middle East, and they still have time to send more shockwaves across the Premier League. . . While Saudi clubs are unlikely to bring in players from Albion, markets in Greece and Türkiye remain open until mid-September.
Given Albion’s current financial position, the club should theoretically evaluate any interest or offer from this European corner on their merits, and Carlos Corberan – though this doesn’t have to be the case for Albion – predict that a free agency market will emerge. playing for clubs that cannot directly replace players may be sold while clubs can still make deals.
