We are delighted to welcome trauma specialist Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he will give his opinion on the injury situation at Rangers…
Dr Rajpal Brar insists Tom Lawrence doesn’t seem too far off to return to the first team with Rangers after a long-term injury.
The injury expert insists Gers is measured by his return based on the time he has been sidelined for them.
The 29-year-old Wales international has been sidelined for more than a year after suffering a serious knee problem at the start of last season.
Discussing his situation privately with Ibrox News, Brar, PhD in physiotherapy and sports scientist, said: “It looks like he’s coming back and the club are just measuring and methodical. during their return to competition.
“The club is focusing on continuous weeks of training prior to placing him into games consistently
“It does not seem long before he’s kicking a ball for Rangers and perhaps even starting games.“
The Welsh forward has returned to action for the reserves as he slowly is working his way back to the first teamAt the end of July, Beale claimed that the 29-year-old had been training well and that’s important for him to regain fitness.
Lawrence is certainly going to find it a challenge breaking into the first team given the number of attacking players that have joined this summer.
In other Rangers news, a manager has issued a verdict on a defender’s future as the Gers are prepared to make a move to sign him this summer.
Writing on their website (6 September), the Croatian news outlet report that the Gers left-back is wanted with his current Ibrox deal set to expire next summer.
But while a deal before this week’s deadline is highly unlikely, they are plotting an attempt in January when he will be free to speak to clubs unless he signs a new deal between now and then, with talks already taking place
