Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement with Aston Villa to sign England international defender Ezri Konsa, in a move that would significantly strengthen Mikel Arteta’s defensive options.

The 28-year-old centre-back has been a long-term target for the Gunners, with Arsenal looking to add defensive depth following injuries to key defenders William Saliba and Jurriën Timber. Reports indicate that the agreement is worth around £50–51 million, with Konsa expected to complete a medical before the transfer is finalized.

Konsa has established himself as one of Aston Villa’s most dependable defenders since joining the club. Primarily a centre-back, he can also operate at right-back, giving Arteta additional tactical flexibility.
