According to sources, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce of Turkey will compete with West Ham for the services of offensive midfielder Jesse Lingard.

On Monday, 4 September, Football Insider reported that the Irons are still debating whether to extend a short-term contract to the 30-year-old.

Lingard has performed well during summertime training sessions with the West Ham team, but has not yet

The former Manchester United star was up against Forest for his services last summer (2022), but he ultimately decided to join the City Ground on a free transfer.

With only two goals and two assists in 20 appearances across all competitions in the 2022–23 season, Lingard’s move was lacklustre.

The former England international previously spent the second half of the 2020–21 season on loan with West Ham, when he recorded 16 appearances and nine goals and five assists.

He has played in 182 Premier League games, scoring 29 goals and dishing out 17 assists.

This season, all three of Lingard’s possible suitors will compete in European football.

Galatasaray and Fenerbahce both advanced to the Champions League and Europa Conference League, while David Moyes’ team is in the Europa League group stage.
