Expert: Liverpool will accept fresh Mohamed Salah bid of £300 million.

Al-Ittihad has been informed that Mohamed Salah won’t be allowed to leave Liverpool this week without a staggering £300 million offer.

In an exclusive interview with Football Insider, Kieran Maguire expressed this viewpoint regarding the importance of Salah to Liverpool both on and off the pitch.

According to Sky Sports, on the final day of the transfer window, the Merseyside club turned down a £150 million offer for Salah from the Saudi Arabian team Al Ittihad.

Liverpool has so far turned down Al Ittihad’s requests to bring the Egyptian star to the Saudi Pro League, despite their intense desire to do so.

Salah, 31, only has two years left on his current deal, but Liverpool is unwilling to let him go despite the enormous offer that has been made.

Given that the Champions League will adopt a new, more profitable format in 2024/25, Maguire said that Liverpool will be concentrating on Champions League qualifying this season.

This season more than any other, Champions League qualification is crucial, Maguire told Sean Fisher of Football Insider.

“The reason for that is that we’re switching to the new Swiss format in 2024/25, which ensures that teams will receive at least an additional two games.

“There will be an additional knockout phase, which means there will be an additional four matches if you finish in positions nine to 24 in the new league table.

The value of winning the Champions League in a single season may be in the neighbourhood of £200 million if you take those numbers into account.

Consequently, I believe Liverpool will have considered this and determined that two more years of Salah’s prospective stay could be worth more to them than the £150 million Saudi Arabia promised.

Additionally, he has great favour with sponsors and business partners.

He is a fantastic representative of the game in terms of how he conducts himself, therefore I believe Liverpool will continue to fight.

I believe that they would need to treble that price before they would blink.
