Latest Birmingham City news from BirminghamLive includes a trial for ex-Crystal Palace and Blackpool winger Keshi Anderson

Keshi Anderson is in line to feature in Birmingham City’s opening pre-season friendly against Solihull Moors after linking up with the club earlier this week.

The former Blackpool winger reported for Blues training on Tuesday to train with the club in the hope of earning a contract. Anderson barely featured for Blackpool as they were relegated from the Championship last term due to a succession of injuries.

Blues could be in the market for a new winger with Tahith Chong the subject of interest from Premier League side Luton Town. BirminghamLive understands Werder Bremen flier Oliver Burke is also on Blues’ radar.

Anderson has the chance to make an impression on head coach John Eustace at The ARMCO Arena this afternoon. Anderson caught the eye in the Championship in 2021/22 with four goals and four assists in 32 appearances. Prior to that, Anderson thrived with Swindon Town in League One to record 11 goal contributions in 20 appearances in 2019/20.

The Luton-born forward was late on the professional scene, joining Crystal Palace in 2015 from non-league Barton Rovers.
