The midfielder, despite his young age but already making more than 100 Championship appearances on his CV, is believed to be on his way to Hillsborough for a medical check and complete a move to the S6 after interest from the Owls returned become official on Friday night.

Buckley is said to be the subject of a major offer from Swansea City today, making loan interest from a host of clubs appear to be dead.
But that deal fell through when the Rovers academy graduate made it clear he would rather move to Hillsborough.
If a deal is agreed, Buckley will offer plenty of midfield on Wednesday, an area the club are looking to strengthen before the last day of the transfer window.

According to reports, Newcastle United’s Jeff Hendrick remains a deal the club are hoping to complete. The signing of the two deals means Wednesday will fulfill its mission of signing two midfielders.

If the deal is successful, Buckley will not be eligible for tomorrow’s Championship game at Leeds United as his deal has not been ratified by the midday deadline.
The England youngster becomes Simon Parker’s eighth summer signing as she enters the 2023-24 Barclays Women’s Championship season.
