Chelsea FC midfielder Enzo Fernández has reportedly become the centre of intense transfer speculation after Manchester City showed strong interest in bringing the Argentine international to the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City were reportedly considering Fernández as a potential replacement for Rodri, amid uncertainty surrounding the Spanish midfielder’s future. Chelsea, however, placed a huge £120 million valuation on Fernández and demanded that City meet the figure by their Friday deadline.

Despite the growing interest, the proposed move has now failed to materialise. Manchester City did not submit a bid meeting Chelsea’s £120 million demand before the deadline, and Chelsea now expect Fernández to remain at Stamford Bridge for the 2026/27 season.
