Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has reportedly rejected the possibility of signing a contract with Tottenham Hotspur, adding another twist to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding his future.

Rashford recently returned to Manchester United after spending the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Barcelona. Although Tottenham have been linked with a move for the England international, the forward’s preference has reportedly made a Premier League switch difficult.

The 28-year-old enjoyed a productive spell at Barcelona and remains one of the most experienced attacking options available to Manchester United. Tottenham have been urged to pursue him, with former Spurs midfielder Jamie O’Hara describing Rashford as a player who could make a major impact if he returns to his best form.

However, Rashford’s situation has changed following Michael Carrick’s arrival at Old Trafford. Carrick is reportedly prepared to give the forward an opportunity to prove himself again, meaning a permanent transfer is no longer considered inevitable.
