GOOD NEWS: Celtic FC striker Johnny Kenny has reportedly agreed to another three-year contract extension, in what would be a major boost for the club and supporters who believe in the young forward’s potential.
Kenny has continued to attract attention with his performances and development as a forward. Although sometimes described as a midfielder/striker, his main role is in attack, where he can play as a central forward.
The Irishman previously signed a contract extension with Celtic in August 2025 that committed him to the club until 2029.
The latest reports indicate that Kenny remains part of Celtic’s plans for the 2026–27 season. Celtic assistant manager Shaun Maloney recently confirmed that Kenny is staying with the squad and fighting for opportunities.
A fresh three-year extension would underline Celtic’s confidence in Kenny and give the player additional time to develop his game at the club. Supporters will be hoping he can continue improving, score more goals and become an increasingly important part of the team.
For Kenny, the message is clear: Celtic still see potential in him. With hard work, consistency and more opportunities, the talented forward could have an exciting future at Celtic Park.
