Celtic visit Rangers in Scottish Premiership after 2 negative results.
It takes an impressive performance to guarantee a win or a draw.
And the Bhoys icon suggests it could be a dead end when it comes to the defender’s chances of making an impact.
Today he writes in the Sunday Post column [September 3rd edition]:
“With the injury crisis at the heart of the defence, I hope Nat Phillips will be on the pitch.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see him next to Gustaf Lagerbielke.
“Nat has lent to Stuttgart and Bournemouth.
He also played a number of games for the Liverpool first team.
I’m very impressed with him.
He’s tall, strong, strong, and good in the air.
He is a very simple and pragmatic operator and he likes to defend.
“Playing an Old Firm game won’t bother him.
He’s the type of character who thrives and will handle big matches.
Of course, he will be attending a game where there will be 50,000 Rangers fans and not a single Celtic fan in the stadium.
It’s a difficult scenario for any player, but Celtic will have to find a way to deal with it.

However, if there is a goal, the first goal will guarantee all 3 points.
Despite his score prediction, Dalglish also believes that you will have to make Rangers more appreciated in today’s match thanks to their home advantage.
That’s probably how many of us feel today, aside from the derby morning bravado.
Celtic would do well to exit Ibrox with a point due to injury problems, a lack of supporters and recent performance issues.
I will take it immediately.
