Leeds United supporters could be in for another major defensive addition as Portuguese centre-back Diogo Leite continues to be strongly linked with a move to Elland Road.

Leite recently became a free agent after leaving German Bundesliga side Union Berlin, where he made 23 Bundesliga appearances during the 2025/26 season. Reports have identified Leeds as one of the clubs interested in bringing the experienced defender to England.

The 27-year-old left-footed centre-back is viewed as a player who could provide additional strength, composure and competition in Daniel Farke’s defence. Leeds have reportedly been exploring the possibility of signing him as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
