Sunderland AFC have reportedly completed a stunning move for Everton attacking winger Iliman Ndiaye, in a transfer that would represent a major statement of ambition from the Black Cats.
Ndiaye is a versatile Senegal international capable of playing on either wing, behind the striker, or through the middle. He joined Everton from Marseille in 2024 on a five-year contract and quickly established himself as an important attacking player for the Merseyside club.
The reported Sunderland deal would give the club a player with considerable Premier League experience, technical ability and creativity in the final third. Ndiaye’s ability to carry the ball, beat defenders and create opportunities could provide Sunderland with another dangerous attacking option.
The move would also be significant because Ndiaye has recently been the subject of considerable transfer interest. Reports have linked him with several clubs, while Everton have been reluctant to let one of their key attacking players leave without a substantial offer.
For Sunderland supporters, the arrival of a player of Ndiaye’s quality would create plenty of excitement ahead of the new campaign. His pace, close control and versatility could make him an important part of the club’s attacking plans.
