Latest Aston Villa news from BirminghamLive as interest continues to grow for midfielder Leander Dendoncker
Aston Villa have reportedly set a price tag for Leander Dendoncker, who is attracting interest this summer.
The 28-year-old made a reported £15m switch from Wolverhampton Wanderers last September, but it seems Villa are open to offers for the midfielder
According to French outlet Foot Mercato, the club have set an asking price of between €10m and €12m (£9m to £10m) for the Belgian. It adds that several Ligue 1 teams “have taken information” about the player, including Rennes and Nice. Olympique Lyon had also expressed an interest before signing Renato Tapia.
The report also claims Dendoncker has been subject of interest from unnamed clubs in England, Turkey and Italy.

It is understood the Belgium international would be “open to any kind of proposal” as he looks for regular playing time. Dendoncker made 21 appearances in Claret and Blue last season and four successive starts, including wins over Newcastle and Fulham, a draw at Brentford and a defeat at Manchester United.
He would have further competition for a Villa first-team place next season following the arrival of Youri Tielemans on a free transfer. He became Unai Emery’s first summer signing following the expiration of his contract at Leicester City.
