The 20-year-old makes the move to Carrow Road for the 2023/24 season, where he will initially link up with the club’s Under-21 side.
Lima made his senior debut for Palmeiras in the Copa Libertadores, featuring against Club Bolívar.
Internationally, the midfielder has been involved with the Brazil Under-20s squad on a number of occasions, featuring in two international friendlies at the age grade.
Upon joining the club, Lima said: “I’m very excited, it’s an amazing club. I’m very happy to be joining, and wearing these colours is very special to me.
“I saw that (Gabriel) Sara has been amazing here, it’s a club that uses a lot of young players so for me that’s a big point.
“It’s my first experience in football out of Brazil. Football in England is famous for being one of the best in the world, it’s going to be a great experience and I hope I can do well here.”
The loan is subject to international clearance and approval from the regulatory governing bodies
The 31-year-old midfielder joins having been a free agent since the expiry of his contract with Leeds United at the end of the 2022/23 Premier League season.
Originally from Liverpool, he worked his way through the Everton Academy from the age of seven, where he was a team-mate of Shane Duffy, eventually making two senior appearances for the Toffees.
A spell at Brentford followed where he helped them to League One promotion and was named as the competition’s player of the year.
He was also part of Middlesbrough and Leeds United squads that both achieved promotion to the Premier League.
He will wear the number 29 shirt with the Canaries.
Joining the club, Forshaw said: “I’ve watched the games in the first few weeks and been really impressed, I couldn’t wait to get in and try to be a part of it.
“One of the main reasons I came here is because they have a great chance this year. A good mix of big characters and experience with a lot of youthfulness in the rest of the squad.
“The head coach has been there and done it before so everything is in place for us to go and be successful.”
