Watford Attacker Signs For League One Outfit On Loan
Watford forward Kwadwo Baah has joined League One outfit Burton Albion on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign, the club has officially announced.
This will be the second loan spell of the young attacker’s career, having spent last season on loan at Fortuna Dusseldorf in the 2. Bundesliga, although his game-time was limited due to injuries.
Since returning to Vicarage Road, Baah has played under Watford’s new head coach Valerian Ismael during pre-season but will now head back out on loan, this time to the Brewers, to further his development for another year.
Speaking to club media at his official unveiling at Burton Albion, the 20-year-old couldn’t contain his excitement to join Dino Maamria’s side:
“I’m massively excited to get going. I’ve played in League One before with Rochdale and I know the ins and outs of the league. I can’t wait to get some appearances, minutes and goals under my belt.
“When I first came here and I first saw the lads they made me feel very welcome. Some of them are from the same areas as me which is a bonus.”
The Tunisian coach shared the player’s sentiment, admitting that Baah will add quality to the team’s goalscoring prowess in-and-around the box:
“He’s an exciting young player. He’s full of pace and is proven at League One level and hopefully, he can boost our quality in the final third.

“He’s strong and will add to our front line, so we’re delighted to have him here and can’t wait for him to get going.”
Burton Albion revealed that the German youngster will wear number 24 while at the Pirelli Stadium.

Burton Albion have had a poor start to the campaign in League One, losing all three games thus far and scoring merely once.
Baah could add much-needed quality in the attacking third which will hopefully see the Brewers hit the net more regularly.
Maamria’s men travel to a wounded Wycombe Wanderers tomorrow, hoping to pick up their first three points of the season and Baah may be in the squad.
